The "Posaunenchor Gehrden" can already look back in the coming year 2009 on 115 a year old history. Within this long period there were again and again high points in the existence of these brass ensemble, which document that in Gehrden the brass workshops was always operated here with much joy, entusiasm and readiness of application.  And since its establishment the 1894 as "trombone and young man association" up to the today's day. Among these high points among other things with the large mission celebrations in the 20's with thousands of musicians, the large demonstrations of the regional church at the Marienburg before that 2 ranked the co-operation. Journeys abroad to Brazil (1989), Finland (1990)  Poland (1992), and Lituania (2006), the award the "pro Musica plaque" by the Federal President at that time Richard von Weizsaecker and the very successful participation in the orchestra competition of Lower Saxony 2003 in Peine with the qualification to the German orchestra competition 2004 in Osnabrueck.. A further "highlight" in our history represents now the available CD production. This is the first, independent clay/tone admission of this trombone choir since its establishment. After the posaunenchor extended its musical repertoire and its quality in the last years constantly, it was obvious, now finally for its public and later generations of blaesern a lasting clay/tone document to provide, from which is to come out, on which conditions the Posaunenchor Gehrden momentarily is. Surely one departed from the original sound ideal of the trombone choirs, how one practiced at that time by Johannes Kuhlo, far. Also the literature selection changed according to the time taste. Nevertheless I believe that on the available CD a large pallet and selection is to be found, which offer to each friend of the brass music somewhat. Also we considered with some pieces to the old, original sound. To dedicate I would like these CD all persons, who contributed untiringly in the history of many years of the trombone choir to its receipt and its advancement, everything in front Mr. Ferdinand Kunze, which led this choir 43 years and thus also in heavy times the basis for the upward development of the posaunenchor created.
